Landmarks Temple No. 324

Biography

As the new District Deputy Grand Master of the newly aligned Hamilton South District, I am looking forward to representing the Grand Master in our District. This year will involve a lot of new experiences and hopefully new friends as we bring lodges from 3 districts together as one. I am grateful to the members of the districts for voting me into this high honour. Allowing me to follow in my father’s footsteps as District Deputy. I would be remiss if I did not also extend my thanks to the members of Landmarks Doric #654 who selected me as their candidate for this office.
This year I will be encouraging the lodge who were formally of other districts to support each other. Lodges should look around and see what other Masonic Education presenters are available in the new District. Be observant and see who else can help with degree work. The Grand Master has asked the DDGM’s to continue their work on REM, Ritual, Education and Mentorship. Ritual by always striving to raise the quality and accuracy in your lodge. Education by working to find a good variety of Masonic Education presenters in your lodge. And Mentorship not only for the new members making sure that they are engaged and retained, but also for the officers to make sure they are focused on their duties and the preparing for the ones to come.
My theme for my year will be Raising Awareness. This will be addressed in 3 ways, first to spread more knowledge about masonry to the general public, second to awaken our own awareness of ourselves and third to make sure new members are educated in the wide variety of ways that they can contribute to their lodge.
I would like to Congratulate both R.W.Bro’s Steven Badger and Brian Muir on excellent years last year and I hope they both enjoy the future endeavors they take on next.
